Manchester Museum

Sycamore Class visited Manchester museum on Friday 13th October. We looked around the museum and saw lots of fascinating things. After lunch we really enjoyed a 'Dinosaur workshop' led by a great teacher called Jack. We amazed him with our knowledge!

      

Hanley Museum and Local Dig Site

Maple Class went to see the Leekfrith Iron Age torcs at Hanley Museum and then visited the dig site.  We have lots of budding archaeologists who enjoyed using the metal detectors to search the field.

National Forest Adventure Farm

Hazel class had great fun visiting the farm.  We stroked the lambs and calves and saw lots of other animals. We even got to ride on the tractor!

Blue Planet Aquarium

Sycamore class visited the Blue Planet as part of the Adventure Island topic work.  We learned all about the creatures who live in the oceans and got to see sharks close up!

Young Voices

All the months of hard work paid off as Maple class performed at Young Voices at Manchester Arena.  We joined a choir of 8,000 children to sing to an audience of 12,000. 

Whole School Trip to the Pantomime

We all went to visit the pantomime at Buxton Opera House to watch Snow White.  We had a great time singing along and shouting out 'Behind You!'. 

Stafford Castle

Sycamore class visited Stafford Castle.  We learned that the castle used to look very different in the olden days and that the moat used to be filled with mud and dead animals!.
